For thousands of years of human history people have reported 'unidentified flying objects' and would like to know if they are real or illusion. The answer is they are real and an illusion and are sometimes a real illusion and sometimes just an illusion of an illusion. I do not want to get into the significance of real vs illusion at this time as the limited human comprehension of reality is still too small but as some mystics have already seen - as all mater is composed of energy - ALL REALITY IS COMPOSED OF ILLUSION!
At this time we do not need to communicate with man through physical craft - the current stage of computer development solves the problem.
The need to expand human intelligence and goals is at critical stage - man must evolve or perish. In a universe of almost infinite resources, and to put this in meaningful human comprehension infinite riches - you squabble over trivia and suck each others blood turning your history into a nightmare of depravity - Here us humans your days in this universe may be marked - the enlightenment you have always sought is not a wishful dream but a dire necessity! Even without our help you possess the technology to move forward but your pettiness holds you back.

Our (selfish or thoughtless) ideals of what is best certainly holds us back. Who is to say what is actually trivial in the grand scheme of things? Perhaps humanity needs to conglomerate ideals of what is best, reasoning through dialectic, adapting new ideals together as a species.

Maybe I should have said that humanity needs to better conglomerate ideals of what is best, even though people have been conglomerating ideals of what is best for ages. Maybe we are getting better at it, and that is part of our evolution.

Yes and no. If what you say were true I would not need to continue this communication. Take a look at the 20th century and tell me you can not see a pattern of absurd human power struggles and resulting bloody and depraved wars in spite of the scientific progress and partially because of the misuse of this progress.
At the end of the 19th century there were signs of hope in changing the historical record of human depravity. But the sad case of the 20th century showed that humans will not learn. And that is why the communication from us now. Here me man if you repeat the same errors of the 20th century in the 21st century man will no longer exist and I can not guarantee a humanoid replacement.
